You Gotta Have Goals
If you're big into the automotive build world, there's probably a few blogs you follow. I'm talking about Speedhunters (speedhunters.com), Narita Dogfight (thenaritadogfight.com), Night Runner (IG: the.tsukinousagi), and one of my personal favorites, Engineered to Slide. Nigel mostly focuses on drift builds and cool motorcycles, but his work and taste in modifications is pretty much the best. Even though I go much more wild with my cars, I love how functionally simple he makes everything, and I hope to emulate with some of my aspects of this build. He built a tube frame drift pickup (technically a Hilux) from scratch! He also has a really cool 180sx, and currently in the finishing stages of a NA S13 build.
To be honest, ETS was one of my biggest motivations to start this build blog. I hope to one day hold a candle to his collection of cars, shop, and work. I know my "shop" is a joke compared to anyone with even a 2 car garage, but I try to implement the same principles as he does.
Check out his shop tour he recently posted: http://engineeredtoslide.com/2016/10/garage-tour-video-my-workspace/
Someday in the near future, I hope to have a shop like his. Once I have ANYTHING bigger than my 3/4 car garage, I will be investing in necessary tools like a press, hoist, and welders. Be prepared to lose many hours reading his car and motorcycle builds. I don't know exactly what he does for a living (yes, he has a real dayjob too), but it's pretty lucrative.
Watch the video with his shop tour and try not to drool. With his setup, you could build anything you can imagine. Good thing he does!
